Big Fish is a sustainable tuna processor based in the Maldives. Our mission is to maximize the value of Maldives Tuna while ensuring its long-term sustainability.
Founded by a group of family and friends, we began operations in 2017 with a team of 30 and have since grown to a workforce of 135. For the past three years, we have been honored with the national award as the largest exporter of yellowfin tuna from the Maldives.
We are presently one of the leading global supplier of fresh yellowfin tuna to the EU.
Whats on the Horizon
We recently invested to expand our production capacity and capabilities, more than doubling our output. With the increased capacity, we expect to surpass $40 million in export revenue by 2025 as we scale and diversify our product range.
Looking ahead, we are planning our next investment: a state-of-the-art facility in Huvadhu Atoll to process large volumes of skipjack tuna. We aim to have the facility operational by early 2026.
