Big Fish Maldives
Founded in 2017, Big Fish is a vertically integrated tuna processor in the Maldives.
We are the largest processor and exporter of Maldivian yellowfin tuna.
We also process and supply MSC-certified frozen pole-and-line skipjack to international processors serving premium retail and foodservice markets.
Big Fish led the national Yellowfin Tuna Fishery Improvement Project (FIP), completing the work required to bring Maldivian yellowfin to MSC certification, with formal certification expected in 2026. The fishery is also under assessment by Monterey Bay Seafood Watch.
